bitbox USB-C Not Appearing on iOS / iPad OS / Mac OS

If iOS/MacOS/iPadOS do not recognize your bitbox as an Ethernet device, it is likely that your ethernet controller is in the wrong mode.

Required Tools

  • 1.5mm hex driver
  • Spudger

Steps

  1. Power down bitbox.
  1. Remove the back plate of the bitbox, there are 4 m2.5 screws which hold it on.
  1. Locate the USB-Mode switch as in the photo below.
  1. Flip the switch to A Mode as seen in this example.
